We are here to assist

ORIC was designed to help strengthen the local economies in Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, Clarendon, Colleton, Orangeburg, and Hampton counties. To accomplish this ORIC offers a wide range of programs that are aimed at starting new businesses and helping existing businesses with sustainability and growth.

Business Consulting

Through the South Carolina State Regional Small Business Development Center (SBDC), ORIC provides technical assistance to small businesses with a specific emphasis on startup assistance, financing, accounting, marketing, human resources, and IT Management.

Business Incubation & Office Space

Although ORIC is an innovation center, it also offers incubator services. In this capacity, ORIC offers office space and training courses (the Amplify Bootcamp Series) that specifically teach the fundamentals of small business operations.

Business Management Assistance

Unfortunately, many small business owners struggle with maintaining some of the fundamental elements of small business operations (i.e. accounting, payroll, marketing, etc). With this in mind, ORIC created the Startup Studio to help business owners run more effeciently. Through various partners, ORIC provides clients with back-office assistance in many of the key areas that a business needs to be sustainable and successful.

Concept Development

At the heart of ORIC is innovation. This begins with concepts, and those concepts must become reality and meet the needs of the market. Through a series of work sessions, ORIC works with small business founders to develop innovative products and services that stretch the boundaries of the market and technologies.

Professional Networking

Every great entrepreneurial ecosystem creates spaces were entrepreneurs can be creative and find a community of like-minded individuals. This creates a culture that thrives off of collaboration and community. ORIC is providing this type of environment.

Apprenticeships

For our college-level students, we offer apprenticeships (not internships) in the areas of accounting, marketing, human resources, and IT management. Through this program, students can receive nationally recognized certification in these disciplines and will learn how to operate a business by helping existing small businesses with their operations.

Training Workshops & Seminars

In addition to the Amplify Bootcamp training series, ORIC partners with the SBDC, the National Entrepreneurship Association, and other organizations to offer a wide variety of workshops and seminars that help to strengthen the entrepreneurial knowledge of small business owners.

Industry Mentoring

Every industry is different, and this knowledge base goes beyond the basic understanding of business. With this in mind, ORIC works to connect its members with industry experts who can guide them in greater detail in their given areas of expertise.
